The building consists of a service shop, wash bay and parts room with second floor storage. Office consists of main hall with cathedral ceiling at the reverse gables, reception, waiting room, lunch room, conference room and twelve rooms for offices.
External construction includes eyebrow roof on gable ends, two reversed gable roofs, stone and stucco around the office area with painted steel siding & roof makes this a very attractive building.
The Owners were not only looking for an attractive building but longevity and efficiency was their concern. Perma-Column concrete post were used to insure long time use of this building.
(No wood Columns imbedded in ground)
With today's fuel heating cost efficiency is very important in order save our customer money over the years we installed radiant heated concrete floors with a waste oil furnace and sprayed foamed the external walls to make this a tight sealed building from the elements.
2005 Building of the Year Award
Voted winner by the National Frame Builders Association in the Retrofit/Remodel Category. The award was given at the Frame Builders Expo.
The building was originally built by Wood Originals and the owner asked us to come back and do a remodel. Now, this is the primary residence for the owner.
We used red cedar rough board and batten siding with Eldorodo stone wainscoting. The design was a collaboration between the owner and Wood Originals.
The beautiful remote country setting made this a perfect spot for this type of dwelling.
